02Press Release:Cyberview Sdn Bhd brought Chinese New Year joy and festivity to the less fortunate when it hosted the elderly and disabled children at its Cyberjaya Chinese New Year Open House yesterday.

Representatives and wards of Pusat Jagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah (PPKKCTM) and Pusat Rawatan dan Jagaan Orang Tua Al-Ikhlas were specially invited by Cyberview to share in the Lunar New Year celebrations and to receive charitable contributions collected by Cyberview.

PPKKCTM received a total of RM5,545 from Cyberview Managing Director En. Ir. Hafidz Hashim. Also present were Pusat Rawatan dan Jagaan Orang Tua Al-Ikhlas, who were the recipients of RM5,000 in a previous Cyberjaya charity drive.

Co-hosting the celebration with Cyberview were the major Cyberjaya stakeholders Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (MPSepang), Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd, and Prima Properties Management Sdn Bhd (Prima). The open house was held at the Cyberjaya Sports Arena and attracted a crowd of around 3,000, who came from all walks of life both from within and around the Cyberjaya vicinity.

“We at Cyberview recognise that the key to building Malaysia’s premier cybercity lies in the heart of the community. Cyberjaya is host to over 500 companies and a growing daytime population of about 41,000 and the significance of strong community ties is reflected in our recognition and celebration of cultural festivities like Chinese New Year,” said Cyberview Managing Director En. Ir. Hafidz Hashim.

“More importantly, festivities such as this open house give the Cyberjaya community the opportunity to come together and help the less fortunate in our wider community whilst sharing in the spirit of 1Malaysia.”01

Highlights of the event included traditional Chinese paper-cutting and personalised calligraphy which guests were welcome to take home. Guests were also treated to a buffet of popular Chinese cuisine while being entertained by the Tun Huang Ensemble, a three-piece traditional Chinese band.

“Cyberview is happy to see that Cyberjaya’s community spirit transcends borders by reaching out beyond our cultures, communities, and vicinities, much like the way our focus on ICT shapes the global community we live in,” said En. Hafidz.
